The title В‘A Raisin in the Sun' has become taken from the poem " Montage of the Dream Deferred" written by Langston Hughes through which he talks about the consequences once dreams are put off for later. The title is acceptable for Hansberry's play as it shows just how В‘deferred dreams' of the Youthful family shrivel up like В‘a pampre in the sun' leading to disillusionment and giving very little optimism the future.
