edu-reviews High school rating I read the book "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Ernest Hemingway. This story occurs in the mountains of Spain through the Spanish civil war. The primary character, Robert Jordan, can be an American that's stationed behind fascist lines with a band of guerillas. Jordan was a Spanish professor at the University of Montana prior to the war. Now he has turn into a dynamiter for the Republic which opposes the fascists.
